Purslane Extract

Purslane extract is an extract of the purslane plant (a succulent) that is known to have anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, anti-aging, and hydrating benefits. It is packed with vitamins and fatty acids including various dietary minerals, omega-3, omega-6 fatty acids, and ascorbic acid.

General Introduction:

Bacopa monnieri (waterhyssop, brahmi, thyme-leafed gratiola, water hyssop, herb of grace,Indian pennywort) is a perennial, creeping herb native to the wetlands of southern India, Australia, Europe, Africa, Asia, and North and South America. Bacopa has traditionally been employed as a neurological tonic and cognitive enhancer, and it is currently being studied for its possible neuroprotective properties.

The leaves of this plant are succulent, oblong and 4–6 millimeters thick. Leaves are oblanceolate and are arranged oppositely on the stem. The flowers are small and white, with four or five petals. Its ability to grow in water makes it a popularaquarium plant. It can even grow in slightly brackish conditions. Propagation is often achieved through cuttings.

Functions:

Purslane extract contains powerful antioxidants that stimulate collagen and cell repair which results in diminishing the appearance of wrinkles and even scarring. Copper promotes hyaluronic acid that plumps the skin and manganese activates antioxidant enzymes.

●Plant polysaccharides and vitamins can lubricate the skin and promote the physiological function of epithelial cells tend to normal, reduce the formation of dead skin and cuticle caused by drying;

●It soothes the skin and suppresses itching caused by dryness;

●Flavonoids and saponins can remove free radicals and antioxidant, delaying skin aging;

●Alkaloids and flavones can be antibacterial and inhibit common pathogenic skin fungi.

Applications:

Purslane extract can use in all kinds of cosmetics products. It can be added in shower gel, cream, lotion, skin care products and hair care products.

Dosage: 0.5%~5.0%
